Eugene Montenero Born in October 16, 1965 in Lausanne, Switzerland. Eugene became familiar at the age of 8 with the world of music. It was around the age of 14 he took his first guitar lessons. Four years later, he took 1 year private lesson, then, he attend at the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music Lausanne (EJMA) from 1985 to 1990, where he follows the classroom teachers with Laurent Poget.

In 1992, he moved to Los Angeles, where he attended classes at the Musician Institute of Technology (MIT), he studied with the famous guitarist such as Ross Bolton (Al Jarreau), Joe Diorio, Scott Henderson, Nick Nolan. In April 1993, he graduated with honors and mention ranked among the top ten guitarists over three hundred participants.

On his return to Switzerland, in May 1993, Eugene Montenero began a career as a professional musician, but also a producer and event organizer. He participated and collaborated with artists such as Billy Cobham (USA) Jean Marie Ecay (F) Linley Marthe (Mauritius) Lindsay Thomas (Mauritius) Philippe Sellam (F) Dominique Di Piazza (F) Marielle Hervé (F) Guillaume Perret (F) Monica Fernandez (PH) David Durham (USA) Clementine Célarié (F), Alvin Slaughter (USA), One Step Choir (CH), Quartier Latin (CH), Coco Zhao (CN), Marsha Yuan (HK)…

But it was in September 1994, he founded the jazz group “bconnected” which became a leading group of Swiss and international jazz scene !

In 2020, taking advantage of the “lockdown”, he launches his acoustic project TRANSCENDANCE with legendary flutist Andy Findon (UK), Swiss pianist Dominique Favre and Filipino singer Monica Fernandez, with whom they release an online album ALAUDA; album produced in London by Steven Williams (The ChapelStudios).

He continued the “Transcendance” duo project with Andy Findon, which led the two musicians to produce 6 other albums tinged with smooth music and cinematic sounds.

In late 2022 to date, Eugene co-founded the “Synchronicity” band project with the collaboration of Cédric JeanRichard (Swiss drummer and composer)

The production of their first album is underway, with prestigious guests including Linley Marthe, Philippe Sellam, Andy Findon, Don Richardson among others
